The development of this building around the common interest of food awareness, public education, and research to break free from normalized mass food production.

Design concept of the building is centered around a large fragment which emulates a crystal quartz point. Crystal quartz is recognized in the realm of spiritual healing, as good food can heal. The inspiration of the project focused on the attributes of the crystal quartz. As a person can manifest the quartz for different purposes, the interaction with the large fragment in the building differs as one moves throughout the building.
